Hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Macquarie Park and North Ryde, NSW, Rotary Carols on the Common is Sydney’s second largest Christmas carols event, held in the heart of Ryde.
Last year’s event drew a bumper crowd, with an estimated 7,500 people turning up for the festivities.
“Families from all walks of life gathered, bundled up, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere,” event chairperson Roseanna Gallo OAM said.
“The event’s success lays not only in the beautiful harmonies echoing through the air but also in the sense of unity and togetherness that permeated every note.
“In a world where our lives often move at a frenetic pace, events like these serve as reminder to pause, appreciate our loved ones, and share in the magic of the season.”
Kicking off at 5pm and running through the night, Carols on the Common performances feature your favourite classic carols with some of the best performers in Sydney. To close out the evening, the whole family will be treated to an awe-inspiring firework display.
Come early to experience the amusement activities and keep the kids entertained with the giant slide or dodgem cars and dozens of other rides. Food vendors will be serving throughout the night.
Funds raised from the event will aid local and overseas projects and The Rotary Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund. Limited parking is available on-site with a donation.
The 2024 Rotary Carols on the Common will be held on Sunday, December 15, at North Ryde Common. Rides and entertainment will be open from 5pm with carols and fireworks from 8pm.
