Our greatest asset

Our Rotary members are at the heart of everything we do. Their passion, commitment and diverse skills help us create lasting change in communities worldwide. The stronger our membership, the more visible we are in the community, and the more resources we have for creating impact.

We experience The Magic of Rotary primarily through our clubs. Research shows that club experience is the single most important factor in member satisfaction. To attract and engage members, clubs need to offer experiences that members have told us they want: meaningful service, connections with others, personal growth opportunities, strong leadership and fun!

At the same time, our clubs should be welcoming and inclusive, so that members feel they belong.

New clubs are an opportunity for us to expand our reach and increase our participant engagement. Opportunities to start new clubs are all around us, whether it’s:
– A location that has never had a club or had one in the past
– A specific cause or community need
– An under-represented group or demographic
– Service-oriented people with busy lifestyles who couldn’t or haven’t wanted to join us previously

Not only are new clubs a way for us to do more good in the world, they also keep Rotary diverse, vibrant and relevant.

I hope that in August and throughout the coming year you’ll join President Stephanie Urchick in making the Rotary experience ‘simply irresistible’.
