Volunteering at Melbourne Rotary International Convention

Arriving in Melbourne for the first time is an exciting experience, but arriving to attend a Rotary International Convention is awesome!

This will be a reality for over 12,000 Rotarians, Rotaractors, their families and friends this month. Imagine playing a significant role in helping our visitors maintain this level of excitement and wonder throughout the Convention. You can do just that by signing up to be a Convention volunteer. You will join an energised, passionate and diverse team of like-minded people, whose mission is to ensure delegates have a memorable experience of Melbourne and the 2023 RI Convention in one of the world’s most liveable cities.

The Host Organising Committee is seeking volunteers from all ages and backgrounds to participate – Rotarians, Rotaractors, family members, friends and non-Rotarians.

Why should you volunteer? Well, it’s easy really:

  • Volunteering is what we do as Rotarians and Rotaractors, and to have the opportunity to volunteer at the largest annual RI event, this year in Melbourne, is a terrific way to be an ambassador for Rotary. If you are not from Melbourne, there is still an opportunity for you to volunteer.
  • You will be that friendly face with the big smile welcoming delegates from all over the world as they embark on a great adventure Down Under.
  • You will have an amazing opportunity to see and witness first-hand the internationality of Rotary, connecting with thousands of like-minded people from around the world, forming friendships that can last a lifetime.
  • If you are registered for the Convention, the Host Organising Committee has made volunteering easy for you as most shifts are for four hours – a time frame that allows you to assist but also spend plenty of time visiting/attending sessions, the House of Friendship and events during RICON23.
  • And the good news is, people who are unable to register for the Convention can also volunteer for many roles outside of the two main venues and still experience Rotary at its best.

Now that you are excited about being a volunteer at RICON23, register now at https://rotarymelbourne2023.org

See you at RICON23 wearing your volunteer cap and hi-viz vest, which will be supplied prior to your shift and are yours to keep as a memento of your special contribution at RICON23.
