Samaritan House Geelong Independent Living Unit Project

The Samaritan House Geelong Independent Living Unit Project is supported by the Rotary Club of Kardinia. The project involved the installation of seven independent living units within the existing Samaritan House property. The objective of the project is to provide homeless men an opportunity to experience self-sufficiency by residing in their own independent accommodation for a period of six months.

The provision of this new accommodation aims to break the homeless cycle by providing transition opportunities before the men move into their own independent public or private house. While at Samaritan House the men participate in a program organised by the Salvation Army.

Samaritan House has partnered with a number of Geelong businesses, as well as philanthropic and educational organisations to develop this economically viable and sustainable facility for homeless men.
