Enabling the Disabled

BE IT THROUGH birth, age or misfortune, to be of able mind and body is a privilege denied to millions across the globe. The physical, emotional and financial burdens placed on the disabled and their carers can be crippling, and in poverty-stricken developing nations, where literacy rates are low, a disability can mean ostracism from their community and even their family. Rotary projects near and far are working to improve the lives of those living with a disability and get them out and about in the community.
